Raceweek Edmonton organizers are extremely impressed by the families involved and all of our volunteers including the staff from Capital Power! It was an event enjoyed by all, and we can’t wait until next year.

Planned for July 2012, Youth build and design Go Kit cars to race down Victoria Park Hill propelled only by gravity.
Come watch or participate in the race and be a part of the excitement!

The “Soap Box Style” Derby is based upon the Go-Kit design. These Kits will be available for the following prices at the Alberta Aviation Museum:
• Youth – $120 including registration fee
• Adult – $150 including registration fee

All kits will come complete with the following components and a 1/2 sheet of plywood:
• Wheels and bearings
• Axles
• Steering Knuckle

Youth Classes Registration Instructions:

1) Print 2 registration forms here

2) Fill out both forms and bring to the Alberta Aviation Museum Gift Shop
(Or go to the Aviation Museum and fill them out there)

3) Turn over both registration forms and payment
- $30.00 entry only if you have a legal Go Kit from 2010
- $120.00 entry and kit with ½ sheet 5/8 GOS plywood

You can send a cheque to Race Week Edmonton, provide payment to the Alberta Aviation Museum, or use our PayPal easy and secure web payment option. You do NOT need a PayPal account to use this option, you can enter your information as a guest. PayPal is the same payment engine used by eBay.

4) One form will be forwarded to Race Week Edmonton

5) Second form will be returned to you marked “PAID”

6) Preferred payment Cash or Cheque made payable to:
“Race Week Edmonton” with 2 pieces of ID, one being a Credit Card

7) You are now registered with a kit (or completed Go Kit from 2010)
