Airliner Pull 2011
Hosted by the Alberta Aviation Museum
Heres a challenge for you and your friends, co workers or sports team….
July 16th starting at 10am you and 20 of your friends vs 68,000 pounds (31,000kg) of Boeing 737 Airliner. Each team will pull using manpower only and a rope the Alberta Aviation Museums Boeing 737 Airliner over a measured 100 feet (30.77 meters).
The team that pulls the Airliner the fastest over the 100 feet is 2011 Champion.
(number of tries you get will be based on number of entrants)
What does that get you?
- Bragging rights till 2012
- Your Team name on the Trophy that will be housed in the Alberta Aviation Museum
- Dash plaques for each winning team member (certificates for 2nd and 3rd)
- Your team gets to choose the registered charity that gets ALL the entry fees from the event…that’s right all the entry fees!
(The Alberta Aviation Museum is covering the event operating costs)
Registration forms available starting July 1, 2011 at the Alberta Aviation Museum
Registration: (Your team must pre register)
- Pick up a registration form at the Alberta Aviation Museum 11410-Kingsway avenue in Edmonton.
- Find 19 other adventurous individuals and list them on the form, pick a team name, pick the registered charity you want the money to go to if your team wins.
- Bring the form and $200.00 to the Alberta Aviation Museum and you are registered.
Note: All participants will be required to sign a “Hold Harmless Agreement/Waiver” on the day of the event…you participate at your own risk.
